Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of FaBu. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
FaBu lets you create events, invite people, collect RSVPs, chat and share photos with the other participants, and — where the host enables it — pay for events. The service is operated by Simon Bodelet (contact: simon.bodelet@gmail.com).
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per person; you must be at least 16 years old.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
3. Your content
Events, messages and photos you post remain yours. You grant FaBu the technical licence needed to store them and show them to the people they are meant for — the participants of the relevant event.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights (including photos of people who would object), or is abusive or misleading. We may remove such content.
4. Acceptable use
- No harassment, spam, or use of FaBu for unlawful activity.
- No attempts to break, overload, probe or scrape the service, or to access other people's data.
- Invite links and email invitations may only be used to invite people who can reasonably be expected to welcome them.
5. Paid events
Hosts can set a price for an event. Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms; FaBu never holds your card details.
The agreement about a paid event — what is provided, cancellations, refunds — is between the host and the attendee. FaBu is not a party to that transaction and does not act as a marketplace, agent or escrow service.
6. Termination
You may stop using FaBu and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or use the service abusively, and we may discontinue the service itself with reasonable notice.
7. Disclaimer and liability
FaBu is provided "as is", without warranties. Events on FaBu are organised by their hosts; we are not responsible for whether an event takes place, how it goes, or anything that happens at it.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the current version. If a change meaningfully affects you, we will point it out inside the app. Continuing to use FaBu after a change means you accept the updated terms.
